Lucia has collaborated with both Canadian and international institutions, developing new markets and fostering long-lasting relationships with agents, institutions, and students. She is deeply passionate about supporting international education and creating meaningful experiences for students worldwide.

Jefferson Lima

Business Develoment Manager | Team Lead

Jefferson Lima is a business leader with over 20 years of experience in sales, leadership, and entrepreneurship. For the past five years, he has specialized in international education, working with agencies, schools, and technology providers such as Edvisor, and others. Passionate about innovation and collaboration, Jefferson combines commercial vision with operational excellence, continuously contributing to the transformation of global financial ecosystems. His work is guided by a strategic outlook, anticipating changes driven by geopolitical and economic factors. With a global perspective gained through visits to key regions such as Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Turkey, and several European countries, Jefferson brings unique insights to every initiative he leads.

Stephan Roussounis

Founder and CEO

Stephan has over 20 years experience in the sector, initially starting out as a English language teacher in Ecuador and Argentina, he moved on to marketing and then sales and business development roles for Malvern House, at the time a pioneering low-cost high-volume operator in central London. After 7 successful years at Stafford House, building it from 1 school in the UK to 10 schools across the US, Canada and the UK, Stephan co-founded Bayswater Education in 2017. Bayswater’s goal is to create a next-generation education platform for short term study. Offering language courses and micro-credentials in top destinations around the world, Bayswater has grown to 11 centres in UK, Canada, France, South Africa and Cyprus. In September 2025 Bayswater was voting leading Chain School (>10) at the ST Star Awards. Stephan has been a board member of English UK and also helped pioneer Cyprus as an English Language destination.

Jenny Nieveen

Senior VP of Business Development, ILAC Education Group and President UniApplyNow

Jenny Nieveen is an international education leader and entrepreneur with over 28 years of experience in global student recruitment and higher education partnerships. She is the Founder of OHLA Schools and the Senior Vice President of Business Development at ILAC Education Group, while also serving as President (CEO) of UniApplyNow, where she helps expand access to higher education through strategic collaborations with universities and global stakeholders. She is also the winner of the Inspirational Woman Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award from Lead5050.

Thassiana Balbino

Business Development Manager

Thassiana Balbino is the Business Development Manager for the TOEFL iBT® test in Brazil at ETS – Educational Testing Service. She brings over 15 years of experience in the English Language Teaching and Assessment field, having worked in educational consultancy across sectors such as Higher Education, K–12, Language Schools, NGOs, and Corporate Training. She holds a degree in English Teaching and an MBA in School Management from the University of São Paulo, the CELTA from the University of Cambridge, and a certificate in Business Administration from the London School of Economics.

Fernanda do Nascimento Rocha

Founder and General Director

Former exchange student, with a degree in Tourism from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), she has over 10 years of experience in the exchange and international education market, having worked across different areas of the sector.
Throughout her professional journey, she faced significant challenges, notably when one of the franchises she owned ceased operations without fulfilling contracted commitments. In response, she assumed full responsibility for more than 40 students with fully paid contracts, ensuring their departure and reimbursing all affected parties, thereby upholding ethical standards, credibility, and trust within the exchange market.

Alexandre Argenta

President

Alexandre Argenta, President of BELTA – Brazilian Educational & Language Travel Association from 2021 to 2024 and from 2024 to 2027. Professional experience in International Education since 1994. CEO and founding partner of Travelmate Intercâmbio since 2002. Graduated in Foreign Trade from the Federal University of Paraná, postgraduate in Customs Law and Foreign Trade from Univali – Santa Catarina, MBA in Business Management and Marketing from ISAE/ FGV – Getúlio Vargas Foundation. Former high school exchange student in the US. Member of the ICEF IAS Adjudication Board.

Paul John McMahon

Paul McMahon is Head of Sales and Business Development at Atlas Language School, where he has been part of the organisation for over 14 years. He oversees international student recruitment and business development across the Atlas Group of Schools, working closely with partners and agents worldwide. Paul has worked in the international education industry since 2005, following his own experience as a Study Abroad student. His background includes teaching, centre management, and agency-side experience, giving him a well-rounded perspective on both educational delivery and international market development. Paul combines strategic sales leadership with a strong understanding of the student journey, positioning Atlas as a trusted partner for quality English language education.
